differences

The difference is that when you are finding the limit of a function, you are finding what the output would be as it approaches that number, but when you plug in the number, you get the exact output.usually when you find the limit, you try to find what the output would be when the function is undefined if u plug in the number. The two are the same when the lim f(x) as x-> c = lim (c) , meaning that there is not a hole but there is an actual point.

The similarity would be the you find the slope of the line for both. You use a formula to find both. The difference would be that when you find the derivative, it’s the slope of a tangent line, and when you find the slope it’s the slope of any line.
